Srinivasan Seshadri Simhan – Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining Jiva Sciences, he was with Systemantics, an early stage robotics company for 6 years, as COO. After passing out from IIMA, Srini was in the corporate finance sector of investment banking for 13 years, 5 years with SBICAP and 8 years with KPMG Corporate Finance, where he did a number of transactions in M&A and private equity. Srinivasan then moved to industry to take up operational roles in new businesses and was with Siemens and later with KSK Power Ventures (a power developer) before moving to the technology industry with Systemantics. In industry, Srini’s experience has been in managing product development in technology and in VC fund raising. Srini is an undergraduate from IITM.
Dr. K. Swaminathan – Head-FPGA Development

K. Swaminathan is a researcher, inventor, and entrepreneur; with a PhD in VLSI Design from NIT – Trichy, India awarded in 2014. He has worked as senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer at Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd, Bangalore, India, with stints at Korea and Canada. In VLSI he specializes in Network on Chip based Interconnect System fabric. In 2015, he was awarded an iFellowship – a trans-disciplinary, hands-on fellowship on healthcare innovation at AIIMS, IITD, QUT Australia. He has worked in various world leading research labs and institutions in Australia, Canada, India, South Korea, China and US. Swami has multiple publications in leading journals and patents in healthcare technologies, Embedded System and VLSI Design. His research interests include Embedded System Design, Image/Video Processing, Internet of Things, Wearable Technologies, Health Care Technologies, FPGA Based System Design, System on Chip (SoC), Network on Chip (NoC) and Design/Verification of Complex Digital Systems. Currently he is Heading FPGA Team for Bioengineering and Heading Medical Devices at Jiva Sciences Private Ltd, Bangalore working towards to achieve the next white revolution in India.
Dr. Pravin Vithal Malik – Senior Engineer-Machine Design

Dr. Pravin Vithal Malik received his PhD from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal in 2017, with a dissertation on the Thermo-Elastic Response of Thin Functionally Graded Beams under Various Heat Loads. He comes with a very good academic record throughout his career and was the undergraduate Gold Medallist of Goa University. He has more than 20 research publications in International journals and conferences. He has an overall Industry experience of more than 16 years in the filed of New Product Design & Development, Finite Element Analysis, Thermal Vibration Analysis, Process Equipment and Heavy Engineering Structures Design from Concept to Serial production. He has been working with Jiva Sciences from 2019 delivering high impact solutions in the areas related to cell sorting, embryo production, artificial insemination and milk analyses for adulterants with multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers and Scientists. Prior to joining Jiva Sciences, Dr. Pravin has been working with Diebold Nixdorf India R&D, Vedanta Ltd, Cummins India R&D and Automobile Corporation of Goa. Dr. Pravin and his team are the pillars of the machine design and manufacturing at Jiva Sciences.
Giriesh Santhanam – Lead Photonics Engineer

Giriesh Santhanam is a biomedical instrumentation engineer with a master’s degree from the University of Sussex, UK. He comes with sound knowledge and more than 7 years of experience in photonics applications, optical detection methods, design, and function. Previously, Giriesh has worked as an Electronics Test Engineer at Photek Ltd, United Kingdom, and has been a part of projects responsible for providing detection solutions for the field of Nuclear fusion, Silicon wafer inspection systems, and Aerospace. He has also worked closely with ISRO in providing an Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) which is present in ASTROSAT (India’s first space observatory) which involves multi-wavelength monitoring of intensity variations in a broad range of cosmic sources. At Jiva, Giriesh is currently the lead photonics engineer of optics and laser division responsible for handling experiments and in providing continuous improvement feedbacks from on-field trails helping in product development.
